In contrast, the Optra 1.6 L variants are powered by a standard 1.6 liter VGIS (Variable Geometry Intake System) petrol engine, which churns out a maximum power of 203 BHP at 5800 rpm and 148 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The petrol engine version features four cylinders, 16 valves and a Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC). Both engines (diesel and petrol) are allied to a customary 5- speed manual transmission.
